class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p>La Asociaci\u00f3n de Transporte A\u00e9reo Internacional (IATA, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) junto a otros 27 representantes de gremios de viajes, turismo y restaurantes firmaron una carta dirigida al presidente de la Rep\u00fablica de Colombia, Iv\u00e1n Duque, en la que solicitan la reactivaci\u00f3n de las regiones y del pa\u00eds, para ayudar de esta manera al reinicio de sus sectores, conformados por industrias esenciales por el n\u00famero de personas que emplean y su contribuci\u00f3n a la reactivaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica nacional post pandemia.<\/p>\n<p>Los firmantes extendieron su agradecimiento por la disposici\u00f3n que ha tenido el Gobierno para enfrentar la crisis del COVID-19 y manifestaron su apoyo en la implementaci\u00f3n de decisiones dif\u00edciles para proteger la salud y seguridad de todos los ciudadanos. Sin embargo, sostienen que tal como se est\u00e1n abriendo las puertas de los hogares colombianos y de los negocios, es necesario hacer lo mismo con estos sectores.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cComo sociedad, hemos enfrentado esta amenaza como ninguna otra y bajo el liderazgo del Gobierno, acordamos implementar decisiones dif\u00edciles para proteger nuestra salud y seguridad. Se cerraron nuestros colegios y universidades, nuestros negocios y nuestras fronteras; sacrificios que toda la ciudadan\u00eda ha realizado y continuaremos para adaptarnos a la nueva realidad. A medida que volvemos a abrir los sectores de la econom\u00eda nacional, estamos aprendiendo a convivir con el virus, y no a escondernos o aislarnos de \u00e9l, por el tiempo que sea necesario\u201d<\/em>, dice la misiva.<\/p>\n<p>Y solicitan la colaboraci\u00f3n del Gobierno respecto a la urgente necesidad de la reapertura del transporte, tanto a\u00e9reo como terrestre en sus modalidades de especial e intermunicipal, como una condici\u00f3n indispensable para el reinicio de los negocios, la actividad tur\u00edstica e impulso a la econom\u00eda. Afirmando que el turismo es el nuevo petr\u00f3leo de Colombia y resaltando la importancia econ\u00f3mica y social que genera. En este sentido, el World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) se\u00f1ala que dicho sector en Colombia aporta alrededor de USD 15.55 mil millones equivalentes al 4,9% del PIB nacional, generando cerca de 1.190.000 empleos, los cuales est\u00e1n riesgo.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEl transporte, es la m\u00e9dula de la actividad productiva y del turismo. Bien es sabido que el Gobierno ha anunciado en diferentes ocasiones los planes piloto para el sector, y bajo su coordinaci\u00f3n es primordial aprobarlos a las ciudades que han solicitado la autorizaci\u00f3n de la reapertura de sus terminales a\u00e9reos. Para la reactivaci\u00f3n del sector es sustancial generar confianza en la ciudadan\u00eda para viajar, con los protocolos adecuados adoptados por las autoridades. Adem\u00e1s, hoy tenemos la evidencia necesaria con los procedimientos realizados durante los vuelos humanitarios que han arribado a nuestro pa\u00eds, de que la industria a\u00e9rea cuenta con las medidas de bioseguridad adecuadas para atender los nuevos requerimientos de salud, protegiendo a los pasajeros durante su viaje y situando la salud de los usuarios como eje principal de la operaci\u00f3n\u201d<\/em>, se\u00f1ala la carta.<\/p>\n<p>Por lo anterior, afirman que es trascendental que el Gobierno tome las medidas de manera \u00e1gil para la reapertura del sector de viajes y turismo, sin dilatar m\u00e1s esta importante decisi\u00f3n, iniciando las operaciones a\u00e9reas dom\u00e9sticas dado que los protocolos de bioseguridad se encuentran aprobados por el Ministerio de Salud y Protecci\u00f3n Social, con el fin de mitigar los da\u00f1os econ\u00f3micos causados por la pandemia del COVID-19, y el pronto regreso de los colaboradores a estas empresas.<\/p>\n<p>La copia
