mantiene una marcada tendencia de crecimiento y apunta a cerrar 2026 con un nuevo r\u00e9cord, impulsado por la entrada en operaciones de la aerol\u00ednea dominicana Arajet en ese mercado, de acuerdo con los datos de la Junta de Aviaci\u00f3n Civil (JAC).<\/p>\n<p>Entre enero y el 30 de agosto de 2026, un total de 523,883 pasajeros se movilizaron entre Boston y Rep\u00fablica Dominicana. Al proyectar ese comportamiento para los 366 d\u00edas del a\u00f1o, el mercado alcanzar\u00eda aproximadamente 792,319 pasajeros al cierre de 2026.<\/p>\n<p>De concretarse esta proyecci\u00f3n, el volumen de pasajeros entre ambos destinos registrar\u00eda un crecimiento de 23.6% respecto a los 641,262 pasajeros movilizados durante 2025, agregando unos 151 mil pasajeros al flujo registrado el a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n<p>El crecimiento resulta todav\u00eda m\u00e1s significativo al observar la evoluci\u00f3n de los \u00faltimos cuatro a\u00f1os. En 2022, el tr\u00e1fico entre Boston y Rep\u00fablica Dominicana alcanz\u00f3 385,774 pasajeros; en 2023 aument\u00f3 a 516,142, mientras que en 2024 lleg\u00f3 a 550,876 y en 2025 alcanz\u00f3 los 641,262 pasajeros.<\/p>\n<p>De cumplirse la proyecci\u00f3n para 2026, el mercado pr\u00e1cticamente duplicar\u00eda su volumen en cuatro a\u00f1os, al pasar de 385,774 pasajeros en 2022 a cerca de 792,319 este a\u00f1o, equivalente a un crecimiento acumulado de 105.4%.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>JetBlue lidera el crecimiento<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>La expansi\u00f3n del mercado ha estado encabezada por JetBlue, que mantiene una posici\u00f3n predominante en la conexi\u00f3n entre Boston y Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.<\/p>\n<p>La aerol\u00ednea moviliz\u00f3 351,394 pasajeros en 2022, cifra que aument\u00f3 a 467,059 en 2023, 504,576 en 2024 y 585,980 en 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta el 30 de agosto de 2026, JetBlue hab\u00eda transportado 441,097 pasajeros. Manteniendo el ritmo observado durante los primeros 242 d\u00edas del a\u00f1o, la aerol\u00ednea podr\u00eda superar los 667 mil pasajeros al cierre de 2026.<\/p>\n<p>La expansi\u00f3n de JetBlue coincide con un aumento de la oferta desde Boston hacia distintos destinos dominicanos. La propia JAC ha se\u00f1alado anteriormente que el crecimiento del mercado de Boston ha estado impulsado, entre otros factores, por el incremento de frecuencias de JetBlue hacia Las Am\u00e9ricas, Puerto Plata y Punta Cana.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Arajet gana espacio en el mercado<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>A este crecimiento se suma Arajet, cuya presencia en la conexi\u00f3n con Boston ha cobrado especial relevancia.<\/p>\n<p>La aerol\u00ednea dominicana registr\u00f3 5,479 pasajeros en 2025 y, al 30 de agosto de 2026, ya acumulaba 27,554 pasajeros, multiplicando varias veces el volumen registrado el a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n<p>Al ritmo observado hasta agosto, Arajet podr\u00eda cerrar 2026 con alrededor de 41,700 pasajeros en el mercado de Boston.<\/p>\n<p>La incorporaci\u00f3n y expansi\u00f3n de nuevos operadores contribuye a ampliar la oferta de asientos y las alternativas de viaje para una de las comunidades dominicanas m\u00e1s numerosas y consolidadas de Estados
