El acuerdo se celebr\u00f3 con la Direcci\u00f3n General de Armamento de Francia (DGA) en el marco del instrumento Acci\u00f3n por la Seguridad de Europa (SAFE, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea. Este instrumento financiero de la Uni\u00f3n Europea est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para brindar apoyo financiero a los Estados miembros con el fin de acelerar su preparaci\u00f3n en materia de defensa, al permitir inversiones urgentes y de gran escala en respaldo a la industria europea de defensa, con \u00e9nfasis en cerrar brechas cr\u00edticas de capacidades.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNos sentimos honrados de que Rumania haya elegido el H225M para fortalecer sus capacidades de defensa. Desde su creaci\u00f3n, el centro de clientes de Airbus Helicopters ha demostrado ser una empresa exitosa, que brinda soporte y servicios a las flotas rumanas de Airbus y, al mismo tiempo, trabaja para diversos clientes de exportaci\u00f3n. Airbus Defence and Space ofrece, a trav\u00e9s de su departamento de ingenier\u00eda, comunicaciones seguras integrales y servicios de ingenier\u00eda de sistemas, mientras que la divisi\u00f3n de aviones comerciales de Airbus fabrica piezas estrat\u00e9gicas.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, la Fuerza A\u00e9rea de Rumania opera el IAR-330 Puma, una versi\u00f3n del Puma producida localmente bajo licencia de A\u00e9rospatiale. Los 12 H225M dar\u00e1n inicio a la sustituci\u00f3n de la flota de Puma para operaciones convencionales y especiales. Rumania tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda encargado anteriormente dos H215M en configuraci\u00f3n naval.<\/p>\n<p>Este es el segundo contrato que firman Rumania y Airbus Helicopters en el marco de la iniciativa SAFE, luego del reciente pedido de siete H160 y cinco H145 destinados a misiones de servicio p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<p>El H225M ha demostrado su confiabilidad y durabilidad en condiciones de combate y zonas de crisis en todo el mundo. Hay m\u00e1s de 350 H225 y H225M en servicio, que suman m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de horas de vuelo.
