A la fecha, m\u00e1s de 18 millones de pasajeros han utilizado este servicio, en los m\u00e1s de 260 aviones equipados con Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n<p>Con esta expansi\u00f3n, la conectividad se incorpora ahora a aeronaves que operan rutas de mayor duraci\u00f3n como, por ejemplo, Santiago\u2013Sydney, Santiago\u2013New York, Lima\u2013Madrid o S\u00e3o Paulo\u2013Londres, as\u00ed como determinados tramos dentro de la regi\u00f3n que tambi\u00e9n son operados con aviones de doble pasillo.<\/p>\n<p>El servicio utiliza tecnolog\u00eda satelital que combina distintos tipos de sat\u00e9lites que orbitan la Tierra a diferentes alturas. Esta red permite ofrecer conexi\u00f3n de alta velocidad y menor latencia, incluso en zonas remotas donde operan algunas rutas del grupo.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s del beneficio directo para los pasajeros, la conectividad permitir\u00e1 mejorar procesos internos como la comunicaci\u00f3n en tiempo real entre la tripulaci\u00f3n y los equipos en tierra, la transmisi\u00f3n de datos para mantenimiento preventivo y la optimizaci\u00f3n de rutas.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Qu\u00e9 cambia para el pasajero<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Desde este mes, los pasajeros que viajen en el primer Boeing 787-9 ya habilitado podr\u00e1n mantenerse conectados durante el vuelo a trav\u00e9s del servicio de mensajer\u00eda gratuita.
