25 de enero, que permiti\u00f3 fortalecer el sector y abrir oportunidades de inversi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Gloria Guevara Manzo, presidenta y CEO del WTTC, tuvo el honor de ser invitada a formar parte de la comitiva oficial que acompa\u00f1\u00f3 a Sus Majestades Los Reyes de Espa\u00f1a durante la inauguraci\u00f3n oficial del encuentro, considerado el m\u00e1s importante para la industria de viajes y turismo, que reuni\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 250.000 visitantes y m\u00e1s de 10.000 empresas de 161 naciones.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, encabez\u00f3 el Executive Roundtable, un encuentro de alto nivel que reuni\u00f3 a l\u00edderes de toda la industria, concebido como un espacio estrat\u00e9gico de networking y di\u00e1logo para impulsar el desarrollo y las inversiones del sector de viajes y turismo. En este foro, los miembros del organismo, junto con invitados del sector p\u00fablico y privado, debatieron los principales desaf\u00edos y oportunidades en torno a la inversi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, el impulso a la movilidad, el desarrollo de talento y el crecimiento sostenible.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los participantes en esta mesa de debate se encontraron H.E. Shaikha Al Nowais, secretaria general de ONU Turismo; Jordi Hereu, ministro de Industria y Turismo de Espa\u00f1a; Takeshi Nakano, Vicecomisionado de la Agencia de Turismo de Jap\u00f3n; Teresa Mera G\u00f3mez, ministra de Comercio Exterior y Turismo del Per\u00fa; William Rodr\u00edguez L\u00f3pez, ministro de Turismo de Costa Rica, y Harris Whitbeck, ministro de Turismo de Guatemala.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, participaron Frank Rainieri, fundador y presidente de Grupo Puntacana; Antonio Cos\u00edo, CEO de Grupo Brisas; Hamza Farooqui, CEO de Millat Group; Dillip Rajakarier, CEO de Minor Hotels; Pansy Ho, presidenta ejecutiva del Consejo y directora general de Shun Tak Holdings Limited; Desir\u00e9e Bollier, presidenta y directora global de Merchandising de The Bicester Collection; Jos\u00e9 Chapur, Presidente y fundador de The Palace Company; Gloria Flux\u00e0, vicepresidenta de Iberostar; Malula Prieto, presidenta ejecutiva de CNET, y Mara Lezama, gobernadora de Quintana Roo.<\/p>\n<p>Guevara Manzo tambi\u00e9n firm\u00f3 un Memor\u00e1ndum de Entendimiento con el ministro de Industria y Turismo de Espa\u00f1a, Jordi Hereu Boher, y con el alcalde de Madrid, Jos\u00e9 Luis Mart\u00ednez-Almeida, para formalizar el cambio de sede del WTTC a Madrid. Este acuerdo represent\u00f3 el inicio de un nuevo cap\u00edtulo para el turismo global, donde Espa\u00f1a seguir\u00e1 fortaleciendo su posici\u00f3n de liderazgo en el sector a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n<p>En el marco de la Feria Internacional de Turismo, Guevara Manzo tuvo una activa participaci\u00f3n en distintos foros y encuentros de primer nivel. Guevara Manzo clausur\u00f3 el XII del Foro de Innovaci\u00f3n Tur\u00edstica Hotusa Explora, junto con Amancio L\u00f3pez, presidente de Grupo Hotusa.<\/p>\n<p>De igual forma, tuvo una destacada participaci\u00f3n en el encuentro con integrantes de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Secretarios de Turismo de M\u00e9xico (ASETUR), con quienes comparti\u00f3 los niveles r\u00e9cord que alcanz\u00f3 el sector de viajes y turismo en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o, as\u00ed como las oportunidades para seguir posicionando a esta industria como un motor econ\u00f3mico y social en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>Durante el desarrollo de FITUR, el WTTC refrend\u00f3 su papel como la voz global del sector privado de la industria de viajes y turismo. La presidenta y CEO del WTTC tuvo encuentros de primer nivel con autoridades de Egipto, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Per\u00fa, Espa\u00f1a y M\u00e9xico, que en esta ocasi\u00f3n fue pa\u00eds socio en el ferial.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, sostuvo reuniones con Jes\u00fas Pablo Lemus, Gobernador de Jalisco; Libia Dennise Garc\u00eda, Gobernadora de Guanajuato, y Mara Lezama, Gobernadora de Quintana Roo.<\/p>\n<p>Desde hace m\u00e1s de tres d\u00e9cadas, el WTTC ha defendido y visibilizado la contribuci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y social del sector de viajes y turismo.
