Este es el primero de los tres aviones cisterna y de transporte multimisi\u00f3n adquiridos por el Ministerio de Defensa en noviembre de 2021.<\/p>\n<p>El avi\u00f3n, que operar\u00e1 desde la base a\u00e9rea de Torrej\u00f3n de Ardoz, Madrid (Espa\u00f1a), ha sido entregado desde las instalaciones de Airbus en Getafe (Madrid), donde se encuentra la l\u00ednea de conversi\u00f3n de aviones del A330 MRTT.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cCon la entrada en servicio de este primer A330 MRTT, el Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire y del Espacio pasa a contar entre sus filas con el mejor avi\u00f3n cisterna del mundo. El MRTT les proporcionar\u00e1, no solo interoperabilidad con naciones aliadas y autonom\u00eda estrat\u00e9gica, sino que tambi\u00e9n incrementar\u00e1 de forma considerable sus capacidades de proyecci\u00f3n, aeroevacuaci\u00f3n y reabastecimiento en vuelo\u201d<\/em>, declar\u00f3 Jean-Brice Dumont, responsable de Air Power en Airbus Defence and Space.<\/p>\n<p>El Airbus A330 MRTT para el Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire y del Espacio se encuentra equipado con un sistema de reabastecimiento de tipo manguera y cesta de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n y dispone de una autonom\u00eda de m\u00e1s de 18 horas de vuelo y un alcance de 16.000 kil\u00f3metros.<\/p>\n<p>El A330 MRTT es el \u00fanico avi\u00f3n cisterna y de transporte estrat\u00e9gico de nueva generaci\u00f3n disponible y operativo en la actualidad. Su gran capacidad b\u00e1sica de carga de combustible de 111 toneladas le permiten, entre otras funciones, desempe\u00f1ar con \u00e9xito misiones de repostaje a\u00e9reo sin necesidad de a\u00f1adir dep\u00f3sitos de combustible adicionales.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gracias a su fuselaje ancho, el A330 MRTT puede utilizarse como avi\u00f3n de transporte capaz de trasladar hasta 300 soldados o una carga \u00fatil de hasta 45 toneladas (99.000 lb). Adem\u00e1s, esta aeronave puede configurarse con un kit espec\u00edfico de evacuaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a\u00e9rea o Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC), pudi\u00e9ndose instalar diferentes m\u00f3dulos de camillas y estaciones de cuidados intensivos.<\/p>\n<p>El segundo y tercer Airbus A330 MRTT para Espa\u00f1a se encuentran actualmente en proceso de conversi\u00f3n en Getafe. El Ala 45 del Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire y del Espacio ha utilizado hasta la fecha estos A330 sin convertir para el transporte de militares y material, por ejemplo, en el ejercicio Pacific Skies en 2024 o
