misi\u00f3n Euclid va tomando forma en las salas limpias de Airbus: los ingenieros est\u00e1n finalizando ahora el montaje del telescopio, el principal instrumento del m\u00f3dulo de carga \u00fatil, del que Airbus es responsable en esta misi\u00f3n de la Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA) liderada por Thales Alenia Space (TAS) como contratista principal. El m\u00f3dulo de carga \u00fatil de Euclid aloja el telescopio de mayor tama\u00f1o y con el mayor rendimiento \u00f3ptico jam\u00e1s dise\u00f1ado e integrado por Airbus. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tras montar el armaz\u00f3n (la estructura donde se aloja el espejo secundario) en la placa base, ambos realizados en carburo de silicio, Airbus est\u00e1 completando la fase final de la integraci\u00f3n: la alineaci\u00f3n \u00f3ptica. El telescopio se enviar\u00e1 a continuaci\u00f3n a Thales Alenia Space donde se someter\u00e1 a m\u00e1s pruebas y se montar\u00e1 en la plataforma.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>El proceso completo de integraci\u00f3n de la carga \u00fatil requiere una disciplina extrema de \u00e1rea limpia con condiciones de limpieza perfectas, temperaturas estables y una ausencia absoluta de vibraciones. Por ejemplo, durante el montaje mec\u00e1nico, la precisi\u00f3n de las operaciones se calcula en \u03bcm mientras que, para la alineaci\u00f3n \u00f3ptica, la escala de precisi\u00f3n se mide en nm (en un mil\u00edmetro hay un mill\u00f3n de nm).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Giuseppe Racca, jefe del proyecto Euclid en la ESA afirm\u00f3: \u201cEuclid es la segunda misi\u00f3n de \u2018clase media\u2019 en el programa Cosmic Vision de la ESA. Euclid cartografiar\u00e1 la geometr\u00eda del universo oscuro con una precisi\u00f3n sin precedentes con el objetivo \u00faltimo de comprender el origen de la expansi\u00f3n acelerada del universo. Para conseguirlo, necesitamos lograr el mejor trabajo en equipo de 16 pa\u00edses, principalmente de Europa y Am\u00e9rica, as\u00ed como de cientos de laboratorios, etc. Un aut\u00e9ntico equipo universal para desvelar los secretos del universo\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Euclid obtendr\u00e1 im\u00e1genes en alta resoluci\u00f3n del espacio profundo, lo que se consigue apuntando el ingenio espacial a una nueva \u00e1rea una vez cada 80 minutos. Durante seis a\u00f1os de observaci\u00f3n se cubrir\u00e1 m\u00e1s de un tercio de toda la b\u00f3veda celeste, Euclid medir\u00e1 las formas y distancias de m\u00e1s de mil millones de galaxias. <br \/>\u201cEste telescopio es el m\u00e1s complejo que hemos dise\u00f1ado y construido hasta la fecha. Debe operar en condiciones de fr\u00edo extremo (en torno a los 100 K o -170 \u00b0C), para lo cual contamos con la experiencia de Airbus, l\u00edder mundial en tecnolog\u00eda de carburo de silicio para el espacio, que ya se ha probado en \u00f3rbita en las misiones Herschel y Gaia de la ESA\u201d, declar\u00f3 Philippe Pham, responsable de Earth Observation, Navigation and Science en Airbus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Los elementos principales del m\u00f3dulo de carga \u00fatil de Euclid son un telescopio ligero 100% de carburo de silicio (SiC) con una estabilidad t\u00e9rmica excelente que opera a 130 K (- 140\u00b0C), por lo que es invisible a longitudes de ondas infrarrojas cercanas. Adem\u00e1s, un espejo de 1,2 metros de di\u00e1metro permite la observaci\u00f3n limitada por difracci\u00f3n de galaxias tan tenues como las de magnitud 24,5, y un telescopio Korsch de tres espejos proporciona luz a sus dos instrumentos cient\u00edficos: el sensor visible (VIS) y el espectrofot\u00f3metro de infrarrojo cercano (NISP).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Los instrumentos VIS y NISP se mantienen en un
