Corporativa (CSA) de S&amp;P Global de diciembre del 2024 (antes Standard &amp; Poors).<\/p>\n<p>En esta edici\u00f3n, LATAM obtuvo 67 puntos en su desempe\u00f1o social, ambiental y econ\u00f3mico, lo que representa una mejora de 3 puntos respecto al a\u00f1o anterior, siendo superado solamente por aerol\u00edneas del continente asi\u00e1tico. Este resultado refleja el trabajo constante del grupo por integrar la sostenibilidad como un pilar estrat\u00e9gico en su operaci\u00f3n, consolid\u00e1ndose como un referente en la regi\u00f3n y a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n<p>Lo anterior, le permiti\u00f3 a LATAM Airlines Group S.A volver a integrar el prestigioso \u00cdndice de Sostenibilidad Dow Jones (o Dow Jones Sustainability Index, en ingl\u00e9s) despu\u00e9s de 5 a\u00f1os ausente tras su proceso de reorganizaci\u00f3n bajo el Cap\u00edtulo 11 de la Ley de Quiebras de EE.UU. Hoy, LATAM vuelve a ser miembro del \u00edndice tanto en su listado de Chile como en el MILA Pacific Alliance, que destaca a compa\u00f1\u00edas de Chile, Colombia y Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEl grupo LATAM se ha propuesto trabajar la sostenibilidad desde una perspectiva amplia y transversal, al mismo tiempo que contin\u00faa conectando y transportando a sus pasajeros. Estamos contentos de ver que el camino trazado est\u00e1 dando frutos, sin embargo, a\u00fan queda mucho trabajo por delante. Se seguir\u00e1 trabajando de manera consistente para avanzar en la hoja de ruta hacia las emisiones netas cero, incorporar un modelo econ\u00f3mico circular y generar valor a las comunidades donde opera el grupo\u201d<\/em>, indic\u00f3 Roberto Alvo, CEO de LATAM Airlines Group.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Avances durante el periodo<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Con su estrategia de sostenibilidad como hoja de ruta, el grupo se ha trazado metas bajo tres focos: Cambio Clim\u00e1tico, Econom\u00eda Circular y Valor Compartido, siendo las m\u00e1s relevantes alcanzar las cero emisiones netas a 2050, eliminar los pl\u00e1sticos de un solo uso en su operaci\u00f3n, buscar ser cero residuos a rellenos sanitarios a 2027 y trabajar junto a las comunidades donde opera a trav\u00e9s de su programa de transporte de pasajeros y carga sin costo \u201cAvi\u00f3n Solidario\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, el grupo LATAM ha logrado compensar m\u00e1s de 1.9 millones de toneladas de CO2 desde el a\u00f1o 2020 y apoyar la conservaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 300 mil hect\u00e1reas de sabanas inundables en Colombia, un ecosistema estrat\u00e9gico debido a su alta capacidad de captura de CO2. Adem\u00e1s, ha reducido en un 97% los pl\u00e1sticos de un solo uso en su operaci\u00f3n, lo que representa m\u00e1s de 1,700 toneladas y, a trav\u00e9s del programa \u201cAvi\u00f3n Solidario\u201d, desde 2021, han transportado gratuitamente a m\u00e1s de 6,660 personas y 779 toneladas de carga, manteniendo cerca de 50 alianzas en 5 pa\u00edses de Sudam\u00e9rica con organizaciones como Fundaci\u00f3n Cardioinfantil, Banco de Alimentos de Colombia, Cruz Roja Colombia y Schooneer Bight Ethnic Association de San Andr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Lo anterior se da en el marco de un positivo a\u00f1o para LATAM en que ha registrado un crecimiento sostenido y rentable. Al cierre del tercer trimestre, el grupo logr\u00f3 reducir su apalancamiento neto ajustado y alcanzar una liquidez de US$3.600 millones, creciendo m\u00e1s de 15% en la operaci\u00f3n de pasajeros.
