LATAM tuvo una utilidad neta de US$146 millones durante el segundo trimestre, lo que fue impulsado por crecimiento y m\u00e1rgenes sanos, acumulando US$405 millones en utilidades netas al considerar los primeros seis meses del a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>En tanto, los ingresos operacionales totales alcanzaron los US$3.030 millones en el per\u00edodo, los que se explican principalmente, por el aumento de los ingresos por pasajeros tras el continuo crecimiento del segmento internacional, y el buen desempe\u00f1o de las filiales dom\u00e9sticas, a\u00fan en temporada baja. A su vez, LATAM report\u00f3 un s\u00f3lido EBITDAR ajustado de US$619 millones para el trimestre, un 10,7% mayor que el mismo periodo de 2023, debido al aumento en la capacidad operada y la contenci\u00f3n de los costos unitarios excluyendo la variable combustible.<\/p>\n<p>Durante el segundo trimestre de 2024, el grupo LATAM transport\u00f3 19,1 millones de pasajeros, lo que representa un aumento del 11,7% en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo per\u00edodo del a\u00f1o pasado. Respecto de la capacidad consolidada, medida en asientos-kil\u00f3metros disponibles (ASK), \u00e9sta aument\u00f3 un 16,2% en el segundo trimestre en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo trimestre de 2023. Este crecimiento se logr\u00f3 a pesar del impacto que LATAM Airlines Brasil enfrent\u00f3 con las inundaciones en el estado de Rio Grande do Sul y la suspensi\u00f3n de las operaciones en el Aeropuerto Internacional Salgado Filho en Porto Alegre (POA) a partir de mayo.<\/p>\n<p>Durante el trimestre, el factor de ocupaci\u00f3n consolidado fue de 82,2%, lo que representa una mejora de 1.8 puntos porcentuales en relaci\u00f3n al segundo trimestre de 2023. A nivel internacional, el factor de ocupaci\u00f3n fue de 84,3%. Las operaciones dom\u00e9sticas de LATAM Airlines Brasil experimentaron el mayor aumento, con una mejora de 2,5 puntos porcentuales respecto del segundo trimestre de 2023, alcanzando los 79,8%<\/p>\n<p>El CFO de LATAM Airlines Group, Ramiro Alfons\u00edn dijo que <em>\u201cLATAM ha logrado s\u00f3lidos resultados trimestrales, impulsados por un aumento en la capacidad y un desempe\u00f1o financiero robusto, a pesar de estar en temporada baja en Sudam\u00e9rica y tener un entorno macroecon\u00f3mico que ha ejercido presi\u00f3n sobre las tasas de cambio. La estructura de ingresos diversificada, as\u00ed como la habilidad del grupo de reposicionar la capacidad entre los mercados permitir\u00e1n estar en l\u00ednea con las proyecciones, respaldadas por trimestres hist\u00f3ricamente m\u00e1s fuertes por venir y un entorno de demanda estable\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>LATAM finaliz\u00f3 el trimestre con una posici\u00f3n de liquidez de US$3.000 millones, habiendo generado US$177 millones de caja en el periodo, excluyendo el pago de dividendos que fue por US$175 millones en mayo de 2024.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>\u00daltimos hitos destacables<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Recientemente, LATAM Airlines Group S.A. logr\u00f3 un hito significativo al reabrir y volver a cotizar sus American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) en la Bolsa de Valores de Nueva York. Este movimiento abrir\u00e1 nuevas oportunidades de inversi\u00f3n para un grupo m\u00e1s amplio de inversionistas, brind\u00e1ndoles la oportunidad de participar en el crecimiento y \u00e9xito del grupo.<\/p>\n<p>A su vez, LATAM logr\u00f3 la exitosa renegociaci\u00f3n de sus l\u00edneas de cr\u00e9dito rotativas, lo que result\u00f3 en una extensi\u00f3n y aumento de las mismas de US$450 millones hasta julio de 2029.
