dise\u00f1o, cuyo objetivo es desarrollar la tecnolog\u00eda para un conjunto de sat\u00e9lites radar de apertura sint\u00e9tica (SAR, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) con ultra-alta resoluci\u00f3n, destinados al Ministerio de Defensa de Reino Unido. Los sat\u00e9lites tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1n captar se\u00f1ales de radiofrecuencia (RF).<\/p>\n<p>Airbus desarrollar\u00e1 la tecnolog\u00eda del proyecto Oberon, que podr\u00eda dar lugar a una demostraci\u00f3n en \u00f3rbita en 2022 y disponer de capacidad operativa ya en 2025. Las t\u00e9cnicas y tecnolog\u00edas innovadoras desarrolladas en el marco del proyecto permitir\u00e1n observar el terreno con una precisi\u00f3n extraordinaria, independientemente de la falta de luz o del tiempo nuboso.<\/p>\n<p>Colin Paynter, Director de Airbus Defence and Space en UK afirm\u00f3: \u201cEl proyecto Oberon se basa en la experiencia de Airbus en la tecnolog\u00eda radar espacial desarrollada a lo largo de 40 a\u00f1os. Conf\u00edo en que este estudio aporte una nueva capacidad de vigilancia de primera clase al Ministerio de Defensa de Reino Unido y que le ayude a proteger a nuestras Fuerzas Armadas en todo el mundo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Aitkenhead, Director de Dstl, declar\u00f3: \u201cEsta nueva capacidad supone a\u00f1adir una pieza importante al futuro de la defensa espacial. La alianza entre Dstl y Airbus en este proyecto garantiza puestos de trabajo en Reino Unido y servir\u00e1 para seguir sacando partido a los avances en el sector brit\u00e1nico del espacio\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Oberon es una continuaci\u00f3n del \u00e9xito del sat\u00e9lite SAR NovaSAR, dise\u00f1ado y desarrollado por Airbus y SSTL, lanzado en septiembre de 2018. Dstl y Airbus han llevado a cabo importantes avances tecnol\u00f3gicos desde que se concibi\u00f3 NovaSAR, lo que ha permitido que el sistema Oberon alcance un alto rendimiento utilizando un sistema
