class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p>El Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo (WTTC, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) proyecta que 2024 ser\u00e1 un a\u00f1o clave para los viajes y el turismo en Latinoam\u00e9rica, contribuyendo con 385.9 mil millones de d\u00f3lares a su PIB, superando en m\u00e1s del 6% la cifra registrada en 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la Investigaci\u00f3n de Impacto Econ\u00f3mico (EIR) 2024, elaborada por el organismo mundial en asociaci\u00f3n con Oxford Economics, al cierre de 2024, se espera que el sector represente casi 18.2 millones de empleos, es decir, uno de cada 12 puestos de trabajo a nivel regional.<\/p>\n<p>Por otra parte, se espera que el gasto de los visitantes internacionales alcance los 60.5 mil millones de d\u00f3lares, lo que significa un 5.5% de crecimiento en comparaci\u00f3n a los niveles prepandemia, y casi 11% m\u00e1s que durante el 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, el organismo global prev\u00e9 que el gasto por turismo interno alcance 226 mil millones de d\u00f3lares, es decir, un aumento de 7.5% frente a 2019.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Una mirada retrospectiva al 2023<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>De acuerdo con los datos del WTTC, en 2023 el sector de viajes y turismo de Latinoam\u00e9rica super\u00f3 por 3.7 mil millones de d\u00f3lares la cifra de contribuci\u00f3n a la econom\u00eda regional de 2019.<\/p>\n<p>El a\u00f1o pasado, el sector represent\u00f3 el 7.8% de la econom\u00eda regional, con una aportaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica de 367.4 mil millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n<p>Durante 2023 la actividad tambi\u00e9n reforz\u00f3 su fuerza laboral con m\u00e1s de 110 mil puestos de trabajo adicionales a lo reportado en 2019, logrando un total de 17.33 millones de empleos en toda Latinoam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>El gasto por turismo internacional continu\u00f3 creciendo y alcanz\u00f3 los 54.5 mil millones de d\u00f3lares, mientras que el gasto por turismo domestico represent\u00f3 219.7 mil millones de
