Estas emisiones hacen referencia al total de emisiones producidas al volar un avi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, la aerol\u00ednea tambi\u00e9n logr\u00f3 disminuir un 26% de las emisiones por pasajero transportado frente a su operaci\u00f3n en 2019. Estas se diferencian de las anteriores porque el resultado se obtiene de comparar las emisiones producidas frente al n\u00famero de personas movilizadas en un avi\u00f3n, lo que lo convierte en un indicador de eficiencia.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLa reducci\u00f3n del 21% de emisiones absolutas es una prueba de que nuestro modelo de negocio funciona y de que estamos cumpliendo la promesa de brindar acceso para que m\u00e1s personas puedan usar el avi\u00f3n como medio de transporte sin descuidar nuestro impacto ambiental y el compromiso que tenemos con los entornos donde operamos. Fueron m\u00e1s personas volando con Avianca, con menos emisiones absolutas y por pasajero transportado, lo cual representa un plan de crecimiento consciente y responsable, sin afectar la eficiencia operacional y la conectividad que brindamos\u201d<\/em>, afirm\u00f3 Andr\u00e9s Mu\u00f1oz, gerente de Gesti\u00f3n Ambiental de Avianca.<\/p>\n<p>Estos dos resultados se han logrado con la implementaci\u00f3n de un modelo de negocio enfocado en dar m\u00e1s acceso y fortalecer su conectividad, mientras genera un menor impacto ambiental, por medio, entre otros aspectos, de m\u00e1s rutas punto a punto; la reconfiguraci\u00f3n de la flota, la cual ha facilitado la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones por pasajero transportado; la implementaci\u00f3n del programa Avianca Fuel, que ha evitado la emisi\u00f3n de 71.256 ton CO2; y la incorporaci\u00f3n de aeronaves A320NEO que, seg\u00fan su fabricante, reduce las emisiones con respecto a la flota de la generaci\u00f3n anterior.<\/p>\n<p>Para complementar la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones, Avianca tambi\u00e9n cuenta con iniciativas de compensaci\u00f3n. De esta forma, a trav\u00e9s del apoyo a proyectos de restauraci\u00f3n y reforestaci\u00f3n en la regi\u00f3n, se gener\u00f3 la compensaci\u00f3n de 695.000 ton de CO2 en 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Los clientes
