Realizadas en las instalaciones de Leonardo en Cascina Costa di Samarate (Italia) el 21 de noviembre, las pruebas de vuelo y en tierra de 75 minutos evaluaron el rendimiento del motor con m\u00faltiples variaciones de potencia y otros sistemas. La prueba mostr\u00f3 una excelente respuesta al nuevo combustible sin diferencias significativas respecto al uso del combustible Jet A1.<\/p>\n<p>Este logro marca una primicia hist\u00f3rica tanto para los helic\u00f3pteros Leonardo como para la familia de motores PT6 de Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada. A principios de este a\u00f1o, los helic\u00f3pteros AW139 en servicio realizaron vuelos con SAF, mezclado con combustible de aviaci\u00f3n tradicional seg\u00fan los est\u00e1ndares de certificaci\u00f3n actuales, en Jap\u00f3n, Malasia y, m\u00e1s recientemente, los Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos.
