\u00fanico de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n en el marco de su programa de modernizaci\u00f3n de flota. Adem\u00e1s, la aerol\u00ednea adquirir\u00e1 tres A220-300 y otros dos A220-100 de terceros arrendadores.<\/p>\n<p>El pedido fue anunciado en un evento especial en Port Moresby por Gary Seddon, director ejecutivo interino de Air Niugini y Anand Stanley, presidente de Airbus Asia-Pac\u00edfico, en presencia del Excmo. James Marape, Primer Ministro de Pap\u00faa Nueva Guinea y el Excmo. William Duma, Ministro de Empresas Estatales.<\/p>\n<p>Combinando la mayor autonom\u00eda, el menor consumo de combustible y la cabina m\u00e1s amplia en la categor\u00eda de 100-150 asientos, el A220 ser\u00e1 operado por Air Niugini en toda su red nacional y regional. La soluci\u00f3n, denominada N-Flight Planning (N-FP), ayudar\u00e1 a la aerol\u00ednea a optimizar el combustible, el tiempo y los costos para satisfacer las necesidades operativas, al tiempo que garantiza la seguridad y el cumplimiento generales.<\/p>\n<p>El A220 es el avi\u00f3n de pasajeros m\u00e1s moderno en su categor\u00eda de tama\u00f1o y transporta entre 100 y 150 pasajeros en vuelos de hasta 3.450 millas n\u00e1uticas (6.390 km). Dependiendo de la configuraci\u00f3n de la cabina, el A220-100 atiende al mercado de 100-135 asientos, mientras que el A220-300, de mayor tama\u00f1o, est\u00e1 perfectamente adaptado al mercado de 120-150 asientos.<\/p>\n<p>El avi\u00f3n est\u00e1 propulsado por motores GTF\u2122 de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n de Pratt &amp; Whitney. Ofreciendo un 25% menos de consumo de combustible y emisiones de CO2 por asiento en comparaci\u00f3n con los aviones de la generaci\u00f3n anterior, el A220 tambi\u00e9n tiene la cabina, los asientos y las ventanas m\u00e1s grandes de su clase, lo que garantiza un confort superior.<\/p>\n<p>Como ocurre con todos los aviones Airbus, el A220 ya puede operar con hasta un 50% de combustible de aviaci\u00f3n sostenible (SAF). Airbus aspira a que todos sus aviones sean capaces de operar con 100% SAF en 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta finales de septiembre, Airbus hab\u00eda recibido m\u00e1s de 800 pedidos del A220 de unos 30 clientes, de los cuales se hab\u00edan entregado m\u00e1s de 280.
