El tren de aterrizaje principal y de morro es responsable de permitir que el avi\u00f3n de combate F\/A-18 despegue de manera confiable y aterrice suavemente en pistas y portaaviones. Con un peso m\u00e1ximo de despegue de 30.000 kg y una velocidad de aproximaci\u00f3n media de 125 nudos (230 km\/h), el tren de aterrizaje est\u00e1 sujeto a cargas extremadamente altas. Esta es la raz\u00f3n por la cual el tren de aterrizaje es un elemento de seguridad y de misi\u00f3n cr\u00edtica de la operaci\u00f3n de vuelo.<\/p>\n<p>El programa incluye revisi\u00f3n individual del tren de aterrizaje. Esto implica el desmontaje completo del tren de aterrizaje y la eliminaci\u00f3n de la protecci\u00f3n superficial obsoleta. A continuaci\u00f3n, se comprueba la corrosi\u00f3n de todos los componentes, entre otras cosas, y se llevan a cabo revisiones espec\u00edficas. Adem\u00e1s, se instalan rodamientos nuevos y todo el sistema se mide con alta precisi\u00f3n y todas las superficies se tratan y comparan con los requisitos de la especificaci\u00f3n. Se reemplaza el sistema hidr\u00e1ulico y se prueba su capacidad de carga en un banco de pruebas a m\u00e1s de 210 bar. Se reemplazan los sensores electr\u00f3nicos y el mazo de cables y se verifica el comportamiento de tiempo de ejecuci\u00f3n de las se\u00f1ales.<\/p>\n<p>Toda la cadena de procesos se optimiza constantemente y garantiza plazos de entrega eficientes, as\u00ed como breves tiempos de inactividad de la aeronave de solo unos d\u00edas para cambiar el tren de aterrizaje. Al final del proceso de instalaci\u00f3n, un inspector lleva a cabo la inspecci\u00f3n final y la aprobaci\u00f3n.
