Las pruebas, realizadas en las instalaciones de Embraer en Gavi\u00e3o Peixoto, Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, en Brasil, representan un importante avance en la campa\u00f1a de certificaci\u00f3n de esta capacidad por parte de la Autoridad de Certificaci\u00f3n Militar Brasile\u00f1a (IFI). Despu\u00e9s de la certificaci\u00f3n, la capacidad de extinci\u00f3n de incendios estar\u00e1 disponible para los operadores de aeronaves.<\/p>\n<p>El MAFFS II es un sistema contra incendios capaz de desplegar hasta 3.000 galones de agua (aproximadamente 11.300 litros), tanto con retardante de fuego como sin \u00e9l, seg\u00fan los criterios est\u00e1ndar de nivel de cobertura del suelo y en diversos tipos de terreno.<\/p>\n<p>Dise\u00f1ado para interactuar con el sistema de manejo de carga (CHS) de la aeronave, el MAFFS II se instala r\u00e1pidamente en el compartimiento de carga de la aeronave, usando solo su propio remolque. El sistema requiere solo la potencia de la aeronave para funcionar.<\/p>\n<p>La conclusi\u00f3n de estas pruebas, que incluyeron varios lanzamientos de agua en vuelo, demostraron la capacidad del sistema para integrarse con la aeronave y demostraron excelentes aspectos de calidad de vuelo y maniobrabilidad, extremadamente necesarios para este tipo de operaciones a bajas
