de sostenibilidad ambiental para la aviaci\u00f3n.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Este hito marca un paso decisivo en la estrategia de sostenibilidad de JetSMART, que adem\u00e1s suscribe una alianza con el Centro de Conservaci\u00f3n Cet\u00e1cea (CCC) a trav\u00e9s del Programa Carbono Azul. Los asientos est\u00e1n revestidos con Eleather -trazas de cuero que fueron desechadas en la industria del cuero- que tiene m\u00faltiples beneficios, como la disminuci\u00f3n de los costos de consumo de combustible en hasta US$10.000 por avi\u00f3n por a\u00f1o, debido a que es un 48% m\u00e1s ligero que el cuero tradicional.<\/p>\n<p>En su primer vuelo, donde la aeronave recorri\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 12.000 kil\u00f3metros para integrarse a la flota de la aerol\u00ednea ultra low cost l\u00edder de la regi\u00f3n, se utiliz\u00f3 combustible ecol\u00f3gico o BioFuel, un combustible org\u00e1nico que disminuye en un 80% la huella de carbono emitida por el avi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cRecibir este primer A321neo marca el comienzo de una nueva era para JetSMART. Hoy tenemos el avi\u00f3n m\u00e1s sostenible y eficiente de la regi\u00f3n, que nos permitir\u00e1 tener mejores costos y por ende ofrecer menores precios a nuestros clientes, para que puedan seguir volando de forma c\u00f3moda, segura y a precios ultra bajos. Esta mejora, sumada a las nuevas puntas de ala (Sharklet), la nueva configuraci\u00f3n de cabina de 240 asientos y el uso de los asientos m\u00e1s livianos del mercado, hacen posible reducir en m\u00e1s de un 25% la emisi\u00f3n de CO2 por asiento. Esta pertenece a la familia de los cet\u00e1ceos y se caracteriza por su gran tama\u00f1o (15 a 16 metros y hasta 40 toneladas) y tambi\u00e9n por ser grandes captadores de CO2. Una sola ballena puede absorber de media durante su vida 33 toneladas de CO2, equivalente a m\u00e1s de 1.000 \u00e1rboles.<\/p>\n<p>Y como parte de la pol\u00edtica de Sostenibilidad de la compa\u00f1\u00eda y en l\u00ednea con la incorporaci\u00f3n de la ballena jorobada como representante de la fauna sudamericana, se firm\u00f3 una alianza de colaboraci\u00f3n con el Centro de Conservaci\u00f3n Cet\u00e1cea (CCC) con el objetivo de apoyar el trabajo cient\u00edfico, pol\u00edtico y de educaci\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n para promover la conservaci\u00f3n de las ballenas.<\/p>\n<p>B\u00e1rbara Galletti, presidenta de la organizaci\u00f3n no gubernamental chilena, afirm\u00f3 que <em>\u201cesta alianza es una valiosa oportunidad, ya que permitir\u00e1 avanzar conjuntamente tanto al sector privado como a la sociedad civil hacia el fortalecimiento de programas de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y propuestas de conservaci\u00f3n de la fauna silvestre marina, as\u00ed como en la difusi\u00f3n masiva de temas de gran importancia y contingencia como el rol que cumplen los cet\u00e1ceos en la mitigaci\u00f3n del cambio clim\u00e1tico y el funcionamiento del ecosistema marino\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Actualmente JetSMART totaliza 69 rutas en Sudam\u00e9rica. 29 rutas dom\u00e9sticas en Chile, otras 17 rutas dom\u00e9sticas en Argentina, y 13 rutas dom\u00e9sticas en Per\u00fa.
