operacional. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En la presentaci\u00f3n de resultados financieros del 2018, Avianca Holdings anuncia el plan de transformaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s robusto de la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada. La nueva estrategia de la compa\u00f1\u00eda busca migrar de un modelo de crecimiento hacia uno de rentabilidad y eficiencia operacional. El plan incluye los siguientes frentes de trabajo: 1) mejorar los indicadores de la operaci\u00f3n, 2) ajustar los planes de flota, 3) priorizar los planes de inversi\u00f3n y 4) vender los activos no estrat\u00e9gicos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>Este plan de transformaci\u00f3n es necesario para garantizar la sostenibilidad de Avianca Holdings en el largo plazo. Aunque el 2018 fue un a\u00f1o retador, la compa\u00f1\u00eda alcanz\u00f3 logros relevantes en su gesti\u00f3n:\u00a0 recuper\u00f3 la estabilidad operacional tras registrar un cuarto trimestre sin efectos del cese ilegal de actividades que tuvo lugar en 2017 y cerr\u00f3 las negociaciones de la Alianza Estrat\u00e9gica y Comercial con United Airlines y Copa Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n inform\u00f3 importantes cambios en el Gobierno Corporativo del Holding: 1) la creaci\u00f3n de un nuevo Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo de Junta con tres miembros independientes y 2) la presencia de United Airlines como observador de la Junta Directiva, sin derecho a voto.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resultados Financieros 4Q 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La aerol\u00ednea destaca el crecimiento en el n\u00famero de pasajeros transportados para el trimestre, al alcanzar 7.9 millones y crecer 18.8% en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo periodo del 2017. Este indicador no solo le permiti\u00f3 a la aerol\u00ednea sostener un robusto factor de ocupaci\u00f3n de 81.9% en el trimestre, sino que la habilit\u00f3 para cerrar el 2018 como el primer a\u00f1o, desde el 2015, con una recuperaci\u00f3n consistente del Yield alcanzando USD 9.5 centavos para el trimestre y un crecimiento consolidado de 5.8% para todo el a\u00f1o.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Las cifras m\u00e1s relevantes del cuarto trimestre de 2018 se enumeran a continuaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>El Yield se increment\u00f3 un <strong>1.7% <\/strong>al alcanzar los <strong>USD 9.5 centavos<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>El factor de ocupaci\u00f3n se ubic\u00f3 en <strong>81.9%<\/strong>, permitiendo as\u00ed un aumento del <strong>19%<\/strong> en los viajeros pagos\/kil\u00f3metro volado.<\/li>\n<li>Ingresos Operacionales por <strong>USD 1.3 miles de millones, <\/strong>registrando un incremento del <strong>15.3% <\/strong>frente al cuarto trimestre del 2017. Por su parte, el Holding alcanz\u00f3 <strong>USD 4.9 miles de millones <\/strong>durante el 2018, aumentando <strong>10.1% <\/strong>frente a lo conseguido en 2017.<\/li>\n<li>La Utilidad Operacional del cuatro trimestre se ubic\u00f3 en <strong>USD 67 millones<\/strong> alcanzando un <strong>margen (EBIT)<\/strong> <strong>de 5.2%.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Durante este trimestre, Avianca aument\u00f3 su capacidad medida en ASK\u00b4s (sillas disponibles por kil\u00f3metro volado) en <strong>22.4%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>El costo por silla disponible por kil\u00f3metro volado (CASK-ex fuel), se sostuvo en <strong>USD 7.5 centavos<\/strong> para el cuarto trimestre de 2018.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Flota de Avianca Holdings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Avianca Holdings S.A. y sus subsidiarias cerraron el cuarto trimestre de 2018 con una flota operativa consolidada de 190 aviones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desempe\u00f1o de las Unidades de Negocio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Las unidades de negocio contribuyeron al total de ingresos del 4Q en un 18%:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Avianca Cargo: <\/strong>\u00a0el desempe\u00f1o de la unidad de carga ha sido satisfactorio al lograr aumentar sus ingresos totales en un 14.1%. Avianca Cargo contin\u00faa consolid\u00e1ndose como el l\u00edder de carga en el mercado colombiano, con un 41% de participaci\u00f3n, y como la tercera compa\u00f1\u00eda en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami con una participaci\u00f3n del 11.7% para el cuarto trimestre de 2018.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>LifeMiles:<\/strong> se destaca el aumento de la facturaci\u00f3n bruta del 13.8% interanual y el crecimiento de la base de miembros de 13.4%, llegando a los 8.9 millones de asociados. Por su parte, el programa cerr\u00f3 el trimestre con 515 socios comerciales en toda Am\u00e9rica Latina.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Plan de Transformaci\u00f3n Corporativa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El plan contempla los siguientes frentes:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Optimizar la rentabilidad operacional:<\/strong> las rutas y frecuencias que la compa\u00f1\u00eda actualmente opera se ajustar\u00e1n con el fin de servir aquellas que tengan mayor demanda y rentabilidad. Ejemplo de ello fueron las recientes modificaciones anunciadas en el mercado dom\u00e9stico peruano. Adem\u00e1s, se anunci\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n de una aerol\u00ednea regional especializada en atender el mercado dom\u00e9stico colombiano.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mejorar los indicadores operacionales:<\/strong> Redise\u00f1o de la malla de itinerarios para la temporada de verano de 2019 con el fin de mejorar sus indicadores de puntualidad.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ajustes del plan de flota: <\/strong>el plan de incorporaci\u00f3n de flota se desacelerar\u00e1 para optimizar la utilizaci\u00f3n de los aviones, reducir los niveles futuros de endeudamiento y entregar mayor rentabilidad al accionista. Las medidas tomadas son:\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Venta de flota Embraer:\u00a0 <\/strong>dentro del plan de simplificaci\u00f3n de aeronaves se ha decidido vender la totalidad de su flota Embraer 190 (diez aviones).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Desaceleraci\u00f3n en la incorporaci\u00f3n de aviones:<\/strong>\u00a0 AVH continuar\u00e1 incorporando flota en el transcurso de los trimestres para poder ofrecer as\u00ed una experiencia excepcional a sus viajeros. Solo este a\u00f1o se planea incorporar alrededor de cuatro aviones.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Desinversi\u00f3n de activos no estrat\u00e9gicos: <\/strong>\u00a0el plan de desinversiones avanza de manera satisfactoria con la venta de las participaciones en Getcom (50%) y CAE (50%). El Holding continua en conversaciones para concretar las ventas de Sansa, La Coste\u00f1a, Deprisa y Viajes \u00c9xito.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>El resultado esperado del Plan de Transformaci\u00f3n
