Conocido como el proyecto Halc\u00f3n, el pedido cubrir\u00e1 la entrega de aviones de combate equipados con radar de barrido electr\u00f3nico (E-Scan), 16 monoplazas y 4 biplazas, lo que permitir\u00e1 renovar la flota de F-18 que opera Espa\u00f1a en las Islas Canarias.<\/p>\n<p>Con este contrato, la flota espa\u00f1ola de Eurofighter aumentar\u00e1 a 90 aviones. Con la primera entrega prevista para 2026, estos nuevos aviones mejorar\u00e1n y posicionar\u00e1n a la flota de cazas del Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire entre sus aliados de la OTAN con el avi\u00f3n de combate m\u00e1s moderno desarrollado en Europa favoreciendo el desarrollo industrial nacional hasta 2030.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEste pedido adicional refuerza el compromiso de Espa\u00f1a no s\u00f3lo con Eurofighter, sino tambi\u00e9n con su entorno industrial y de desarrollo.
