El avi\u00f3n, con MSN 11000, despeg\u00f3 desde el Aeropuerto de Hamburgo Finkenwerder a las 11:05 h para un ensayo en vuelo que dur\u00f3 aproximadamente cuatro horas y 35 minutos.\u00a0 La tripulaci\u00f3n del avi\u00f3n estaba formada por los pilotos de pruebas experimentales Thierry Diez y Gabriel Diaz de Villegas Giron, y los ingenieros de pruebas Frank Hohmeister, Philippe Pupin y Mehdi Zeddoun.
