Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Helic\u00f3pteros (HAI) se complace en anunciar a Scott Tinnesand como el ganador del premio Salute to Excellence W.A. &#8220;Dub&#8221; Blessing Flight Instructor of the Year. Este premio, presentado por H. Ross Perot &amp; Family, reconoce las contribuciones superlativas de un instructor de vuelo de helic\u00f3ptero o UAS en el mantenimiento de altos est\u00e1ndares de profesionalismo. Ser\u00e1 presentado el lunes 7 de marzo en HAI HELI-EXPO 2022 en Dallas, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>El instructor de vuelo y piloto de pruebas experimentales Scott Tinnesand lleg\u00f3 a donde est\u00e1 hoy gracias a los mentores que lo apoyaron a lo largo de su viaje. Un piloto con 33 a\u00f1os de experiencia de vuelo sin accidentes, se dedica a retribuir siempre que sea posible.<\/p>\n<p>Tinnesand recuerda querer ser piloto pero cuestionar la viabilidad de lograr su sue\u00f1o. Cuando descubri\u00f3 el programa ROTC del Ej\u00e9rcito de Estados Unidos en la Universidad de Dakota del Norte (UND), el sue\u00f1o se hizo posible. Se inscribi\u00f3 en la UND con el programa ROTC, obteniendo sus calificaciones de helic\u00f3pteros privados, comerciales y de instrumentos. Despu\u00e9s de graduarse, asisti\u00f3 a la escuela de vuelo del Ej\u00e9rcito para convertirse en piloto de AH-1 Cobra y AH-64 Apache.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de ocho a\u00f1os de servicio, que terminaron en la 101 Divisi\u00f3n Aerotransportada del Ej\u00e9rcito, ingres\u00f3 al mundo civil como piloto instructor y piloto de pruebas para el fabricante de autogiros Groen Brothers Aviation. Tinnesand prosper\u00f3 en Groen, obteniendo calificaciones comerciales y de instructor de autogiros. Fue asesorado por su compa\u00f1ero de trabajo y compa\u00f1ero piloto Terry Brandt. Tinnesand no s\u00f3lo tuvo la oportunidad en Groen de ense\u00f1ar a los clientes a volar, sino que tambi\u00e9n pudo asesorarlos en sus carreras.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de dejar Groen, Tinnesand asumi\u00f3 un puesto de EMS de helic\u00f3ptero que se convirti\u00f3 en una oportunidad para ganar su CFI de helic\u00f3ptero y para asesorar, capacitar y apoyar a sus compa\u00f1eros pilotos de la compa\u00f1\u00eda. Luego, en 2011, consigui\u00f3 lo que ha sido el trabajo de sus sue\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy, Tinnesand es instructor de vuelo l\u00edder y piloto de pruebas experimentales para la divisi\u00f3n Vertical Lift de The Boeing Co. Entrena a pilotos nacionales e internacionales y realiza vuelos de prueba experimentales en el AH-64E Apache, A\/MH-6M y AH-6 Little Bird.<\/p>\n<p>Su experiencia en Boeing no ser\u00eda la misma sin su propio mentor en la organizaci\u00f3n, Rich Lee, piloto principal de pruebas de desarrollo de helic\u00f3pteros. Lee tom\u00f3 a Tinnesand bajo su protecci\u00f3n y apoy\u00f3 todos sus esfuerzos. Tambi\u00e9n alent\u00f3 a Tinnesand a convertirse en un examinador piloto designado (DPE) en la regi\u00f3n. Todo lo que pidi\u00f3 a cambio fue que Tinnesand le pagara.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando no est\u00e1 trabajando, Tinnesand es mentor. Pasa tiempo adicional despu\u00e9s de los ex\u00e1menes pr\u00e1cticos para ense\u00f1ar y guiar a los pilotos. Alienta a las mujeres piloto a solicitar las becas Whirly-Girls y ha realizado comprobaciones gratuitas de SFAR 73 para nuevas CFI para ayudarlas a ahorrar dinero al comenzar sus carreras. Comparte su informaci\u00f3n de contacto con los pilotos y responde a numerosas llamadas telef\u00f3nicas y mensajes de texto cada semana de estudiantes anteriores, solicitantes de aviadores, instructores de vuelo y pilotos profesionales que solicitan asistencia.<\/p>\n<p>Tinnesand tambi\u00e9n dona su tiempo al Grupo asesor de DPE de Arizona y al Grupo de trabajo de usuarios del espacio a\u00e9reo de Phoenix y ha participado como orador en el Panel de mentores de pilotos HFI de HAI, el Taller de transici\u00f3n militar a civil de HAI, la Reuni\u00f3n anual del Equipo de seguridad de helic\u00f3pteros de Estados Unidos y varios otros seminarios locales y nacionales de capacitaci\u00f3n y seguridad.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNo estar\u00eda donde estoy hoy sin las grandes personas que me apoyaron y guiaron en cada paso del camino\u201d<\/em>, comparte Tinnesand. <em>\u201cRealmente no hay nada m\u00e1s satisfactorio que ayudar a eliminar un obst\u00e1culo que impide que alguien alcance su sue\u00f1o.
