con Airbus por la compra de 255 aeronaves, para completar una compra total de 1.145 aeronaves a la fecha por parte del fondo de inversi\u00f3n.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>En este acuerdo, JetSMART Airlines incrementa su orden en 23 nuevos Airbus A321neo y A321XLR, llegando a un total de 125 aviones recibidos a 2029 desde el inicio de operaciones.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Con esta orden JetSMART cumplir\u00e1 su meta de 100 aviones en 2027 y duplicar\u00e1 su flota actual antes de fines de 2023; y con nueva tecnolog\u00eda reduciendo sus emisiones de CO2 en l\u00ednea con las metas de sostenibilidad y agenda de cambio elementor-clearfix\"><p>Este domingo, en el marco de una nueva edici\u00f3n del Dubai Air Show, JetSMART Airlines anunci\u00f3 un nuevo acuerdo con Airbus, por la compra de 23 aeronaves modelo A321neo, de los cuales 21 ser\u00e1n A321neo y dos ser\u00e1n A321XLR. De esta forma, a 2029, JetSMART habr\u00e1 recibido desde el inicio de sus operaciones un total de 125 aviones, y llegar\u00eda a su meta inicial de 100 aviones a 2027.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>El acuerdo se enmarca en la compra por parte del fondo de inversi\u00f3n norteamericano controlador de JetSMART, Indigo Partners, de 255 nuevas aeronaves para las 4 aerol\u00edneas de su portafolio: Wizz, Frontier, Volaris y JetSMART. Cabe se\u00f1alar que, en 2017, Indigo Partners ya hab\u00eda anunciado una compra de 430 aviones a Airbus para las l\u00edneas a\u00e9reas de su portafolio, incluyendo a JetSMART.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de este anuncio, la compa\u00f1\u00eda indic\u00f3 que se ha solicitado a Airbus la conversi\u00f3n de un total de 19 aviones A320 que se encontraban encargados en el acuerdo de 2017, por el modelo A321, generando as\u00ed mayor eficiencia y reducci\u00f3n de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero. De hecho, el modelo A321 genera un 30% menos de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero por asiento, por lo que este anuncio adem\u00e1s materializa el objetivo de la compa\u00f1\u00eda de ser una de las de menores emisiones a nivel global.<\/p>\n<p>Estuardo Ortiz, CEO de JetSMART, destac\u00f3 el anuncio. \u201c<em>Este acuerdo demuestra nuevamente nuestro compromiso por seguir creciendo y posicionarnos como la aerol\u00ednea low cost l\u00edder de Sudam\u00e9rica, ofreciendo a nuestros clientes volar seguros, confiables y a tiempo, en aviones nuevos y tarifas ultra-bajas. Este acuerdo nos acerca a nuestra meta de 100 aviones a 2027 y permite duplicar nuestra flota actual en menos de dos a\u00f1os y reduciendo nuestra huella ambiental\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que <em>\u201cla introducci\u00f3n del A321neo a la flota de JetSMART en mayo de 2022 y la orden adicional de 23 aeronaves de este tipo, permitir\u00e1 a la aerol\u00ednea obtener costos m\u00e1s bajos, tarifas m\u00e1s bajas al cliente y ser la aerol\u00ednea m\u00e1s amigable con el medio ambiente\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Cabe se\u00f1alar que el modelo A321neo incorpora motores y sharklets de nueva generaci\u00f3n -que juntos ofrecen m\u00e1s del 25% de ahorro de combustible y CO2, as\u00ed como una reducci\u00f3n del 50% del ruido-. En tanto, la versi\u00f3n A321XLR proporciona una extensi\u00f3n de rango adicional a 4.700 nm, es decir permite trayectos de largo alcance. Esto le da al A321XLR un tiempo de vuelo de hasta 11 horas y reduce en un 30% el consumo de combustible por asiento en comparaci\u00f3n a la generaci\u00f3n anterior de aviones de la competencia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Para JetSMART Airlines, este anuncio, sumado a la compra de flota ya proyectada para los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os, significa que aumentar\u00e1 su capacidad de asientos en un tercio y permitir\u00e1 que a 2022 incremente su flota en un 48% y a 2023 m\u00e1s que la dupliquen.<\/p>\n<p>El presidente de Airbus para Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe, Arturo Barreira se\u00f1al\u00f3 que <em>\u201cla decisi\u00f3n de JetSMART incrementar su orden de aviones de la Familia A320neo es una demostraci\u00f3n de que los productos de Airbus son los m\u00e1s adecuados para ayudar a la industria a salir de la crisis de COVID-19 y reconectar el mundo a trav\u00e9s de los viajes a\u00e9reos.
