ha realizado por primera vez una demostraci\u00f3n de un vuelo de larga distancia en formaci\u00f3n, dentro del espacio a\u00e9reo transatl\u00e1ntico regulado por el tr\u00e1nsito a\u00e9reo general (GAT). La demostraci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo con dos aviones A350 que partieron de Toulouse (Francia) y llegaron a Montreal (Canad\u00e1), volando con una separaci\u00f3n de tres kil\u00f3metros entre s\u00ed. Una comitiva recibi\u00f3 los aviones en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Montreal-Trudeau. En el trayecto se ahorraron m\u00e1s de seis toneladas de emisiones de CO2, confirmando as\u00ed la posibilidad de reducir el consumo de combustible en m\u00e1s de un 5% en los vuelos de larga distancia.<\/p>\n<p>El 9 de noviembre de 2021 se llev\u00f3 a cabo el vuelo de demostraci\u00f3n final con la participaci\u00f3n de dos aviones de prueba A350: el MSN1 liderando el vuelo y el MSN59 tras \u00e9l. Esta operaci\u00f3n ha sido posible gracias a los sistemas de control de vuelo desarrollados por Airbus, que posicionan de forma segura el avi\u00f3n seguidor en la corriente ascendente que crea la estela del avi\u00f3n de cabeza y le permiten reducir el empuje del motor y el consumo de combustible. El vuelo pudo llevarse a cabo gracias a Airbus y a sus socios de gesti\u00f3n del tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo, as\u00ed como a los proveedores de servicios de navegaci\u00f3n (DSNA, NATS, NAV CANADA, Eurocontrol e IAA) con el apoyo de la DGAC. Juntos, demostraron que es posible aprovechar la tecnolog\u00eda de recuperaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de la estela en los vuelos fello\u2019fly sin poner en riesgo la seguridad. Esta demostraci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n evidencia que las operaciones de fello\u2019fly podr\u00edan impulsar significativamente el rendimiento medioambiental de los aviones comerciales y contribuir a los objetivos de descarbonizaci\u00f3n del sector de la aviaci\u00f3n de forma inmediata.<\/p>\n<p>El siguiente paso es recabar el apoyo de las autoridades para que este nuevo concepto operativo pueda certificarse y permita a las aerol\u00edneas reducir su consumo de combustible y sus emisiones de CO2.<\/p>\n<p>El innovador vuelo fello\u2019fly de Airbus fue recibido a su llegada a Montreal por el Presidente del Consejo y por el Secretario General de la Organizaci\u00f3n de Aviaci\u00f3n Civil Internacional de la ONU (OACI). El Presidente del Consejo, Salvatore Sciacchitano, declar\u00f3 que la demostraci\u00f3n constitu\u00eda <em>\u201cun ejemplo inspirador del nivel de compromiso actual para reducir las emisiones de la aviaci\u00f3n\u201d, mientras que el Secretario General de la OACI, Juan Carlos Salazar, destac\u00f3 que reflejaba \u201cla incre\u00edble variedad de iniciativas innovadoras que se est\u00e1n desarrollando en el sector del transporte a\u00e9reo para cumplir sus objetivos y garantizar que volar sea cada vez m\u00e1s sostenible\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Fello\u2019fly es un proyecto de demostrador de vuelo lanzado en 2019 que se basa en la biom\u00edmesis (el dise\u00f1o y la producci\u00f3n de materiales, estructuras y sistemas inspirados en la naturaleza) y que desarrolla Airbus UpNext.
