elementor-clearfix\"><p>LATAM Airlines va a actualizar su flota de la Familia A320 con la funci\u00f3n &#8220;Descent Profile Optimisation&#8221; (DPO) de Airbus, una mejora de ahorro de combustible en la base de datos de rendimiento del Sistema de Gesti\u00f3n de Vuelo (FMS) de a bordo del avi\u00f3n. Esta mejora se realizar\u00e1 en m\u00e1s de 200 aviones de su flota de la familia A320, convirti\u00e9ndose en la mayor flota de Airbus equipada con esta potente soluci\u00f3n de ahorro de combustible.<\/p>\n<p>Todos los kits de equipamiento necesarios para la instalaci\u00f3n del software de rendimiento DPO en la flota de la familia A320 de LATAM comenzar\u00e1n a entregarse desde finales de 2021 hasta principios de 2022.<\/p>\n<p>La funci\u00f3n DPO permite a los aviones descender desde la altitud de crucero utilizando \u00fanicamente el empuje del motor en vac\u00edo, lo que reduce el consumo de combustible, aportando reducciones proporcionales de CO2 y NOx (emisiones de \u00f3xido de nitr\u00f3geno). Para mejorar a\u00fan m\u00e1s la reducci\u00f3n de combustible, DPO maximiza el tiempo que se pasa en el nivel de crucero eficiente -al no iniciar el descenso demasiado pronto- y, posteriormente, minimiza el tiempo que se pasa en una etapa de &#8220;nivelaci\u00f3n&#8221; ineficiente en la parte inferior del descenso, cuando los motores del avi\u00f3n generan empuje para mantener el vuelo nivelado en aire denso antes de la aproximaci\u00f3n final al aterrizaje.<\/p>\n<p>La optimizaci\u00f3n de la trayectoria de vuelo de la aeronave es uno de los factores clave para mejorar la eficiencia en cooperaci\u00f3n con el control del tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo. Al optimizar las trayectorias de descenso de sus aviones y reducir el flujo de combustible a los motores -a partir del ajuste de empuje m\u00e1s bajo &#8220;en vac\u00edo&#8221; durante la fase de descenso- gracias a la funci\u00f3n DPO, LATAM Airlines generar\u00e1 un ahorro de m\u00e1s de 100 toneladas de combustible al a\u00f1o por avi\u00f3n en toda su red, incluidos los aeropuertos con restricciones como Lima, Santiago y S\u00e3o Paulo.
