Systems &#8211; UAS) de despegue y aterrizaje verticales (Vertical Take-Off and Landing &#8211; VTOL).<\/p>\n<p>Aprovechando la experiencia de Leonardo en helic\u00f3pteros y las capacidades de Northrop Grumman en tecnolog\u00eda avanzada en el campo de la aeron\u00e1utica y en sistemas a\u00e9reos aut\u00f3nomos sin tripulaci\u00f3n de nueva generaci\u00f3n, las compa\u00f1\u00edas se enfocar\u00e1n en abordar conjuntamente las oportunidades globales en el mercado VTOL &#8211; UAS. As\u00ed, considerar\u00e1n colaborar en el dise\u00f1o de veh\u00edculos a\u00e9reos, ingenier\u00eda de sistemas, optimizaci\u00f3n de carga e integraci\u00f3n dentro de nuevos escenarios operativos, con particular atenci\u00f3n a las exigencias del cliente y a los conceptos operativos relacionados a las misiones.<\/p>\n<p>El acuerdo es el \u00faltimo desarrollo de una asociaci\u00f3n exitosa a largo plazo entre Northrop Grumman y Leonardo. Las compa\u00f1\u00edas trabajan en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n en la protecci\u00f3n de plataformas de aeronaves. La colaboraci\u00f3n se remonta al a\u00f1o 1995 con el desarrollo conjunto del sistema DIRCM AN\/AAQ-24 Nemesis para el departamento de defensa estadounidense y el ministerio de defensa del Reino Unido.
