MetOp SG-B.<\/em><\/strong><\/h5><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-81401c6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" elementor-clearfix\"><p>Con seis metros de altura, m\u00e1s de tres metros de ancho y algo m\u00e1s de una tonelada de peso, constituye la columna vertebral de la nueva, segunda generaci\u00f3n de sat\u00e9lites meteorol\u00f3gicos de \u00f3rbita polar. La estructura del primer sat\u00e9lite &#8220;B&#8221; de la serie MetOp Second Generation (MetOp-SG) ha llegado al centro de integraci\u00f3n de sat\u00e9lites de Airbus en Friedrichshafen (Alemania). En noviembre de 2022, el sat\u00e9lite deber\u00e1 estar listo para ser entregado para su campa\u00f1a de pruebas ambientales, durante la cual se verificar\u00e1 en condiciones similares a las del espacio.<\/p>\n<p>El programa MetOp-SG est\u00e1 siendo implementado por la Agencia Espacial Europea en colaboraci\u00f3n con EUMETSAT. La flota de sat\u00e9lites MetOp-SG consta de seis sat\u00e9lites y garantizar\u00e1 la continuaci\u00f3n de las observaciones meteorol\u00f3gicas desde una \u00f3rbita polar en el periodo 2024-2045. Los datos completos del conjunto de instrumentos europeos innovadores se incorporar\u00e1n a los modelos de previsi\u00f3n, llevando las observaciones a un nuevo nivel.<\/p>\n<p>La predicci\u00f3n meteorol\u00f3gica num\u00e9rica a nivel regional y mundial se beneficiar\u00e1 de este\u00a0 programa. MetOp-SG proporcionar\u00e1 sondeos mejorados de temperatura y humedad por infrarrojos, microondas y radio-ocultaci\u00f3n; vectores de movimiento atmosf\u00e9rico polar extra\u00eddos de im\u00e1genes \u00f3pticas; novedosas mediciones de precipitaciones y nubes a partir de im\u00e1genes en los espectros \u00f3ptico, submilim\u00e9trico y de microondas; y mediciones de alta resoluci\u00f3n del vector del viento en la superficie de los oc\u00e9anos y de la humedad del suelo extra\u00eddas de observaciones con dispers\u00f3metros.<\/p>\n<p>MetOp-SG comprende dos series de sat\u00e9lites, con tres unidades en cada serie. La serie de sat\u00e9lites A lleva instrumentos \u00f3pticos y sondas atmosf\u00e9ricas, mientras que la serie de sat\u00e9lites B alberga instrumentos de microondas. Ambos tipos se basan en las plataformas de sat\u00e9lites de alta potencia Astrobus de Airbus Defence and Space. Mientras que la serie de sat\u00e9lites A se est\u00e1 desarrollando y construyendo bajo el liderazgo industrial de Airbus en Toulouse (Francia), el dise\u00f1o y la fabricaci\u00f3n de la serie de sat\u00e9lites B est\u00e1 dirigido por el centro de la empresa en Friedrichshafen (Alemania).<\/p>\n<p>Airbus lidera un consorcio industrial formado por m\u00e1s de 110 empresas de 16 pa\u00edses europeos y Canad\u00e1, para suministrar m\u00e1s de 160 equipos y servicios diferentes para las plataformas e instrumentos de los sat\u00e9lites.<\/p>\n<p>Cada sat\u00e9lite, con una masa de lanzamiento de aproximadamente 4 toneladas, se lanzar\u00e1 por separado. Los sat\u00e9lites se situar\u00e1n en la \u00f3rbita polar helio s\u00edncrona de MetOp, a una altitud media de 831 kil\u00f3metros. La vida \u00fatil nominal de cada sat\u00e9lite es de 7,5 a\u00f1os. Despu\u00e9s de 7 a\u00f1os, se lanzar\u00e1 el siguiente sat\u00e9lite de la misma serie, lo que garantizar\u00e1 una cobertura operativa completa durante un periodo de 21 a\u00f1os con una pareja de sat\u00e9lites de tipo A y B siempre en \u00f3rbita.<\/p>\n<p>El primer lanzamiento de un sat\u00e9lite MetOp-SG est\u00e1 previsto actualmente para principios de 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prensa
