A dos meses del anuncio, LATAM ratific\u00f3 la adquisici\u00f3n de estos ocho aviones y comunic\u00f3 la conversi\u00f3n de dos Boeing 767-300ERs adicionales. Con ello, la flota total de los operadores de carga quedar\u00e1 compuesta por hasta 21 aeronaves a fines de 2023, lo que implica que el grupo pr\u00e1cticamente duplicar\u00e1 su flota carguera y reducir\u00e1 la edad promedio de dicha flota de 17 a 14 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cLa decisi\u00f3n de expandir la flota se basa en que existen oportunidades de crecimiento atractivas, en los aumentos de eficiencia conseguidos y en la flexibilidad que permite el Boeing 767F. Como resultado se podr\u00e1 crecer rentablemente, incluso en escenarios similares a los enfrentados antes de la pandemia. Espec\u00edficamente, se robustece la conexi\u00f3n desde Colombia y Ecuador para apoyar la exportaci\u00f3n del sector floricultor. Tambi\u00e9n, se reforzar\u00e1 la exportaci\u00f3n del salm\u00f3n de Chile y su mercado importador.
