elementor-clearfix\"><p>La Asociaci\u00f3n de Transporte A\u00e9reo Internacional (IATA, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) ha anunciado que el tr\u00e1fico de pasajeros se desaceler\u00f3 en febrero de 2021, en comparaci\u00f3n tanto con niveles pre-COVID (febrero de 2019) como con el desempe\u00f1o del mes anterior (enero 2021).<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Con el fin de evitar la comparaci\u00f3n de los resultados mensuales con los datos distorsionados de febrero de 2021 y 2020 por el impacto de la COVID-19, la comparaci\u00f3n se realiza respecto al mes de febrero de 2019 (salvo indicaci\u00f3n contraria), que sigui\u00f3 un comportamiento normalizado.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La demanda total de febrero de 2021 (medida en pasajeros-kil\u00f3metro transportados, RPK por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) descendi\u00f3 un 74,7% en comparaci\u00f3n con febrero de 2019. El desempe\u00f1o empeor\u00f3 respecto al 72,2% registrado en enero de 2021 (respecto a enero de 2019).<\/li>\n<li>La demanda internacional de febrero descendi\u00f3 un 88,7% respecto a febrero de 2019, una ca\u00edda que supera al 85,7% interanual registrado en enero y el peor resultado de crecimiento desde julio de 2020. El desempe\u00f1o empeor\u00f3 en todas las regiones respecto a enero de 2021.<\/li>\n<li>La demanda dom\u00e9stica global se contrajo un 51,0% respecto a niveles precrisis (febrero 2019). Enero, la demanda registr\u00f3 una ca\u00edda del 47,8% respecto al mismo mes en 2019. El aumento de las restricciones de los viajes nacionales en China durante el A\u00f1o Nuevo Lunar debilit\u00f3 el desempe\u00f1o global.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u201cFebrero no mostr\u00f3 indicios de recuperaci\u00f3n en la demanda de viajes a\u00e9reos internacionales. La capacidad se hundi\u00f3 un 80,5% y el factor de ocupaci\u00f3n se contrajo 36,0 puntos porcentuales, hasta el 46,4%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Las <strong>aerol\u00edneas de Oriente Medio <\/strong>experimentaron una contracci\u00f3n del 83,1% en febrero frente a febrero de 2019, un empeoramiento tambi\u00e9n respecto a la ca\u00edda de enero (-82,1%, respecto a enero de 2019). La capacidad baj\u00f3 68,6% y el factor de ocupaci\u00f3n se hundi\u00f3 33,4 puntos porcentuales, hasta el 39,0%.<\/p>\n<p>Las <strong>aerol\u00edneas de Norteam\u00e9rica <\/strong>experimentaron una ca\u00edda del tr\u00e1fico del 83,1% respecto a febrero de 2019. El dato de febrero empeor\u00f3 respecto a la ca\u00edda de enero (-79,2%). La capacidad se contrajo un 63,9% y el factor de ocupaci\u00f3n se desliz\u00f3 41,9 puntos porcentuales, hasta el 36,7%.<\/p>\n<p>Las <strong>aerol\u00edneas de Latinoam\u00e9rica <\/strong>registraron una ca\u00edda del 83,5% en febrero de 2021 respecto a febrero de 2019, notablemente peor que la desaceleraci\u00f3n de enero de 2021 (-78,5%), comparado a enero 2019. La capacidad descendi\u00f3 un 75,4% respecto a febrero de 2019, y el factor de ocupaci\u00f3n baj\u00f3 26,7 puntos porcentuales hasta el 54,6%, el mejor dato global por quinto mes consecutivo.<\/p>\n<p>Las <strong>aerol\u00edneas africanas <\/strong>vieron una ca\u00edda del 68,0% en febrero frente a febrero de 2019. UU. anunciaron recientemente que las personas vacunadas pueden viajar de manera segura. Eso es una buena noticia.
