elementor-clearfix\"><p>Airbus y la Organizaci\u00f3n de los Pa\u00edses Bajos para la Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica Aplicada (TNO) han lanzado un programa para desarrollar un demostrador de terminal de comunicaciones l\u00e1ser para aeronaves, conocido como UltraAir.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto, cofinanciado por Airbus, TNO y la Oficina Espacial de los Pa\u00edses Bajos (NSO), forma parte del programa ScyLight (Tecnolog\u00eda de comunicaci\u00f3n segura y l\u00e1ser) de la Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA). Cubre el dise\u00f1o, la construcci\u00f3n y las pruebas del demostrador de tecnolog\u00eda. Las tecnolog\u00edas de comunicaci\u00f3n l\u00e1ser son la pr\u00f3xima revoluci\u00f3n en las comunicaciones por sat\u00e9lite (satcom), que brindan velocidades de transmisi\u00f3n, seguridad de datos y resistencia sin precedentes para satisfacer las necesidades comerciales en la pr\u00f3xima d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n<p>El terminal UltraAir ser\u00e1 capaz de realizar conexiones l\u00e1ser entre una aeronave y un sat\u00e9lite en \u00f3rbita geoestacionaria a 36.000 km sobre la Tierra, con una tecnolog\u00eda incomparable que incluye un sistema mecatr\u00f3nico \u00f3ptico altamente estable y preciso. El demostrador de tecnolog\u00eda allanar\u00e1 el camino para un futuro producto UltraAir con el que las velocidades de transmisi\u00f3n de datos podr\u00edan alcanzar varios gigabits por segundo al tiempo que proporciona antiinterferencias y baja probabilidad de interceptaci\u00f3n. De esta manera, UltraAir no solo permitir\u00e1 que los aviones militares y los UAV (veh\u00edculos a\u00e9reos no tripulados) se conecten dentro de una nube de combate, sino que tambi\u00e9n a largo plazo permitir\u00e1 a los pasajeros de las aerol\u00edneas establecer conexiones de datos de alta velocidad gracias a la constelaci\u00f3n de SpaceDataHighway de Airbus. Desde su posici\u00f3n en la \u00f3rbita geoestacionaria, los sat\u00e9lites SpaceDataHighway (EDRS) transmiten los datos recopilados por los sat\u00e9lites de observaci\u00f3n a la Tierra casi en tiempo real, un proceso que normalmente llevar\u00eda varias horas.<\/p>\n<p>Airbus lidera el proyecto y aporta su experiencia \u00fanica en comunicaciones l\u00e1ser por sat\u00e9lite, desarrollada con el programa SpaceDataHighway. Coordinar\u00e1 el desarrollo de la terminal y las pruebas en tierra y aire. Como socio clave del proyecto, TNO aporta su experiencia en opto-mecatr\u00f3nica de alta precisi\u00f3n, respaldada por la industria espacial y de alta tecnolog\u00eda holandesa. Airbus Defence and Space en los Pa\u00edses Bajos ser\u00e1 responsable de la producci\u00f3n industrial de las terminales. La filial de Airbus, Tesat, aporta su experiencia t\u00e9cnica en sistemas de comunicaci\u00f3n l\u00e1ser y participar\u00e1 en todas las actividades de prueba.<\/p>\n<p>Las primeras pruebas tendr\u00e1n lugar a finales de 2021 en condiciones de laboratorio en Tesat. En una segunda fase, las pruebas en tierra comenzar\u00e1n a principios de 2022 en Tenerife (Espa\u00f1a), donde se establecer\u00e1 la conectividad entre un demostrador UltraAir y el terminal l\u00e1ser embarcado en el sat\u00e9lite Alphasat utilizando la Estaci\u00f3n \u00d3ptica Terrestre de la ESA. Para la verificaci\u00f3n final, el demostrador UltraAir se integrar\u00e1 en un avi\u00f3n para pruebas de vuelo a mediados de 2022.<\/p>\n<p>A medida que crece la demanda de servicios por sat\u00e9lite, las bandas de radiofrecuencia de las comunicaciones por sat\u00e9lite tradicionales est\u00e1n experimentando obst\u00e1culos. Los enlaces l\u00e1ser tambi\u00e9n tienen la ventaja de evitar la interferencia y la detecci\u00f3n, ya que en comparaci\u00f3n con las frecuencias de radio ya abarrotadas, la comunicaci\u00f3n l\u00e1ser es extremadamente dif\u00edcil de interceptar debido a un haz mucho m\u00e1s estrecho.
