El ahora ic\u00f3nico helic\u00f3ptero piloteado por Ron Gellatly, complet\u00f3 dos vuelos cortos de diez minutos y 20 minutos respectivamente. Hay nueve clientes que actualmente, todav\u00eda lo utilizan para misiones tales como guerra antisuperficie, guerra antisubmarina, campo de batalla, b\u00fasqueda y rescate, protecci\u00f3n costera, entre muchas otras. Los operadores actuales de las variantes de Lynx incluyen a la Armada de Brasil, la Real Armada de Malasia y la Fuerza de Defensa de Sud\u00e1frica.<\/p>\n<p>La Armada de Brasil ha estado operando helic\u00f3pteros Lynx durante m\u00e1s de cuatro d\u00e9cadas. A fines del a\u00f1o pasado en el Reino Unido, la Armada de Brasil y Leonardo completaron la Prueba de aceptaci\u00f3n de f\u00e1brica para el cuarto de los ocho helic\u00f3pteros Super Lynx Mk21B mejorados. Leonardo contin\u00faa apoyando a su base de clientes globales que a\u00fan opera Lynx. Desde Yeovil, Leonardo est\u00e1 actualizando cinco helic\u00f3pteros Lynx MK95A para la Armada portuguesa. El desarrollo b\u00e1sico de Lynx se llev\u00f3 a cabo utilizando cinco helic\u00f3pteros prototipo, cada uno de los cuales estaba pintado de un color diferente: amarillo (XW835), gris (XW836), rojo (XW837), azul (XW838) y naranja (XW839). El programa de pruebas de vuelo temprano involucr\u00f3 a 13 aeronaves.<\/p>\n<p>En marzo de 1972, el cuarto helic\u00f3ptero Basic vol\u00f3 por primera vez e inclu\u00eda la primera cabeza de rotor &#8216;Monobloc&#8217;, este fue el est\u00e1ndar elegido para la producci\u00f3n. La producci\u00f3n de la cabeza del rotor presentar\u00eda un buje central con cuatro elementos de aletas integrales forjados a partir de un solo bloque de titanio, conocido como la cabeza &#8220;Monobloc&#8221;. La primera producci\u00f3n Naval Lynx (XZ227) vol\u00f3 por primera vez el 10 de febrero de 1976, y la primera entrega a la Royal Navy se realiz\u00f3 el 8 de julio de 1976.<\/p>\n<p>La Marina Real de los Pa\u00edses Bajos (RNN) orden\u00f3 el Lynx antes de que se completaran las pruebas en el Reino Unido y el primer Lynx Mk 25 vol\u00f3 en septiembre de 1976. El helic\u00f3ptero a la RNN se entreg\u00f3 en paralelo con la aeronave de la Royal Navy y el Lynx entr\u00f3 en servicio el 26 de octubre de enero de 1978. El Cuerpo A\u00e9reo del Ej\u00e9rcito Brit\u00e1nico comenz\u00f3 a recibir entregas en junio siguiente y, a finales de a\u00f1o, el Lynx se despleg\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n en Alemania.<\/p>\n<p>En ese entonces, el Lynx presentaba nuevas tecnolog\u00edas, incluidas las British Experimental Rotor Programme (BERP), capaces de aumentar la velocidad m\u00e1xima y las capacidades de elevaci\u00f3n, que luego se adoptaron tambi\u00e9n para todas las variantes Lynx \/ Super Lynx y para el AW101.
