Con este plan busca expandir sus alternativas de servicio y aprovechar las sinergias de operar una flota homog\u00e9nea de aviones cargueros.<\/p>\n<p>El crecimiento se realizar\u00e1 en dos etapas y de manera gradual. La primera fase se basa en cuatro \u00f3rdenes confirmadas con Boeing para conversiones entre 2021 y 2022. Con Boeing 767-300BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter), los operadores de carga de LATAM pasar\u00e1n a contar con un total de 15 aeronaves cargueras. La segunda fase, en cambio, corresponde a cuatro opciones de conversi\u00f3n con Boeing entre 2022 y 2023 con los cuales los operadores totalizar\u00edan una flota de 19 cargueros Boeing 767-300ER.<\/p>\n<p>En Colombia, con el crecimiento de LATAM Cargo, se ver\u00e1n beneficiados principalmente los sectores que dependen de la conectividad a\u00e9rea y las exportaciones, es el caso del sector floricultor, el cual a pesar de la coyuntura actual ha presentado buenos resultados -en la \u00faltima temporada de San Valent\u00edn, LATAM transport\u00f3 7% m\u00e1s toneladas de flores que en el a\u00f1o 2020-.\u00a0 Actualmente, la filial carguera del grupo LATAM enfoca su operaci\u00f3n a Miami y desde all\u00ed distribuyen productos y materias primas colombianas a diferentes destinos de Norteam\u00e9rica y Europa. Adicionalmente, llega a Chile, Brasil y Per\u00fa desde la capital del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNo obstante la profunda crisis que la pandemia ha impuesto sobre la industria, el grupo mantiene su compromiso de apoyar a los exportadores e importadores de la regi\u00f3n con m\u00e1s y mejores opciones para llevar sus productos a destino. Crecer con cargueros Boeing 767-300CF es una ventaja significativa, ya que es el avi\u00f3n \u00f3ptimo para estos distintos tipos de operaciones y utilizar un solo tipo de avi\u00f3n genera eficiencias relevantes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Cabe recordar que durante el 2020, LATAM Cargo cumpli\u00f3 un rol activo asegurando el abastecimiento de los pa\u00edses, especialmente de las zonas extremas y de dif\u00edcil acceso de Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador y Per\u00fa, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n resguard\u00f3 su oferta a los sectores exportadores e importadores de Sudam\u00e9rica, llegando incluso a incrementar sus frecuencias en m\u00e1s de un 40% en mercados que as\u00ed lo requirieron.
