Seg\u00fan el concepto del estudio (Fase A\/B1), el CLTV es un veh\u00edculo log\u00edstico aut\u00f3nomo y vers\u00e1til que, por ejemplo, brindar\u00e1 apoyo oportuno y eficaz a la NASA y la ESA en la implementaci\u00f3n de las futuras misiones lunares de Artemis. La nave espacial se basar\u00e1 en tecnolog\u00edas existentes y probadas y complementar\u00e1 el gran m\u00f3dulo de aterrizaje log\u00edstico europeo multiprop\u00f3sito (EL3 \u2013 European Large Logistic Lander).<\/p>\n<p>La ejecuci\u00f3n de misiones lunares, incluido el aterrizaje en la Luna y la instalaci\u00f3n de la pr\u00f3xima estaci\u00f3n espacial lunar, Gateway, es una tarea compleja y desafiante para la comunidad internacional. El Moon Cruiser de Airbus acomete estos desaf\u00edos de varias formas:<\/p>\n<p>Log\u00edstica de Gateway: el CLTV puede transportar carga o combustible para repostar en \u00f3rbita lunar y a la estaci\u00f3n Gateway, el proyecto internacional liderado por los dos principales contribuyentes NASA (Estados Unidos) y ESA (Europa), apoyando una presencia sostenible en la Luna y la exploraci\u00f3n ulterior y un pilar del programa Artemis de la NASA.<\/p>\n<p>Transferencia de un m\u00f3dulo lunar grande a la \u00f3rbita lunar baja: se requiere el CLTV para volar un m\u00f3dulo de aterrizaje o una etapa de ascenso entre el Gateway y la \u00f3rbita lunar baja, para realizar misiones de aterrizaje y ascenso con servicios m\u00e1s grandes y extensos<\/p>\n<p>La versatilidad de CLTV tambi\u00e9n le permitir\u00e1 respaldar misiones a la infraestructura orbital posterior a la ISS en \u00f3rbita LEO, as\u00ed como misiones en el \u00e1rea de los servicios de sat\u00e9lites de comunicaciones en \u00f3rbita GEO.<\/p>\n<p>El dise\u00f1o de CLTV permite realizar m\u00faltiples tipos de misiones con un solo veh\u00edculo y es compatible con varios lanzadores.
