Adem\u00e1s, FAB oper\u00f3 uno de los aviones de transporte en una misi\u00f3n humanitaria a la Rep\u00fablica del L\u00edbano, en apoyo de la poblaci\u00f3n de Beirut, en agosto de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>El 17 de noviembre, el gobierno h\u00fangaro firm\u00f3 un contrato con Embraer para la adquisici\u00f3n de dos aviones de transporte multimisi\u00f3n C-390 Millennium, en su configuraci\u00f3n de reabastecimiento de combustible aire-aire (AAR), designado KC-390. La adquisici\u00f3n es parte del proceso para fortalecer las capacidades de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Hungr\u00eda, especialmente en las funciones de transporte a\u00e9reo t\u00e1ctico, AAR y evacuaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, as\u00ed como en otras misiones de inter\u00e9s p\u00fablico. Las entregas est\u00e1n programadas para comenzar en 2023.<\/p>\n<p>La aeronave ser\u00e1 la primera del mundo con una configuraci\u00f3n de Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, una caracter\u00edstica esencial para realizar misiones humanitarias. Los aviones tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para repostar el JAS 39 Gripen h\u00fangaro, as\u00ed como otros aviones que utilizan la misma tecnolog\u00eda. Estos KC-390 ser\u00e1n totalmente compatibles con la OTAN, no solo en t\u00e9rminos de hardware, sino tambi\u00e9n en t\u00e9rminos de configuraci\u00f3n de avi\u00f3nica y comunicaciones.<\/p>\n<p>A finales de octubre, equipos de las Fuerzas Armadas portuguesas (FAP) y Embraer concluyeron la <em>\u201cRevisi\u00f3n de dise\u00f1o cr\u00edtico &#8211; CDR\u201d<\/em> para el KC-390 Millennium ordenado por Portugal. Este paso ha definido los requisitos t\u00e9cnicos de la aeronave de acuerdo con las demandas de la FAP, lo que permite a Embraer configurar la aeronave. El Gobierno portugu\u00e9s y Embraer firmaron un contrato para la adquisici\u00f3n de cinco aviones de transporte multimisi\u00f3n que apoyar\u00e1n las operaciones de las Fuerzas Armadas portuguesas y aumentar\u00e1n la preparaci\u00f3n en misiones de inter\u00e9s nacional. Algunas de las fortalezas de la aeronave son movilidad, dise\u00f1o robusto, mayor flexibilidad, tecnolog\u00eda de vanguardia comprobada y mantenimiento m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil.<\/p>\n<p>El C-390 Millennium y la designaci\u00f3n KC-390 Millennium vuelan m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y transportan m\u00e1s carga que otros cargueros militares del mismo tama\u00f1o y son las plataformas ideales para los principales escenarios de uso. La aeronave requiere menos inspecciones y mantenimiento bajo demanda, combinados con sistemas y componentes altamente confiables, lo que reduce el tiempo en tierra y los costos operativos generales, contribuyendo a excelentes niveles de disponibilidad y bajos costos de ciclo de vida.<\/p>\n<p>En octubre de 2019, la aeronave recibi\u00f3 el Grand Laureate Award, en la categor\u00eda de Defensa, y
